LUXOR, Egypt, Sept 28 (MENA) - Luxor Governor Mostafa Alham discussed on Saturday with Deputy Chief of Mission at the Chinese Embassy in Cairo Xiao Junzheng ways of increasing the number of Chinese tourists visiting Egypt in the coming tourist season.

Xiao said China's Embassy in Cairo encourages Chinese citizens to visit Luxor's historic monuments, pointing out to the growth witnessed in the number of Chinese travelers to Egypt over the past tourist season, which was estimated at nearly 500,000.

He expressed hope that the number would double in the coming tourist season.

Meanwhile, the governor said Luxor is ready to receive Chinese tourists, noting that Chinese tourists highly appreciate cultural tourism.
