CAIRO – 15 January 2018: The first international Media forum for tourism support will be held in Hurghada from 10 February to 14, 2018. The forum is held under the auspices of Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abduallah.

General Coordinator Mohamed Sayed Hamed said several Arab countries will participate in the forum: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon and Bahrain.

He added that the International Media Forum for Tourism Support aims to convey a message of peace in both Egypt and the Middle East.
Hurghada is the best place to hold the forum in Egypt as it is one of the country’s most beautiful resort towns, stretching over 40 kilometers along the Red Sea coast and is known for its scuba diving and natural landscapes.

The tourism sector has historically played a central role in the Egyptian economy; however, the industry was severely damaged by the 2011 Revolution. For this reason, the Egyptian authorities are working to revitalize tourism in the country, and they have developed products and activities that could attract more tourists and offer visitors reasons to stay longer and spend more money.
