After being introduced to photography at a late age, an 89 years old Japanese grandmother can’t stop taking funny self-portraits - Kimiko Nishimoto’s Facebook page

CAIRO – 19 November 2017: If you log onto the pictures sharing social media giant, Instagram, while of scrolling you will start to notice that almost everyone is posing the same way in their pictures, mostly with a duck face.

However, Kimiko Nishimoto is not a typical Selfie-taker. Currently, at the age of 89, Nishimoto keeps finding new creative ways to take and photoshop self-portraits.

It all started around 17 years ago when out of curiosity, she enrolled in a photography course that her own son teaches.

That was it, something sparked inside 72 year- old Nishimoto and set her on the beginning of a path which is now leading her into both Japan’s photography galleries and the world wide web’s memes.
