CAIRO – 9 November 2017: Not only is global warming harming Earth, it is harming its people as well. As the climate change becomes more and more apparent every year, negative effects will start presenting themselves:

- Heat: Humidity is expected to increase due to the increase of heat levels and rain, which will create a suitable climate for ticks which help spread infectious diseases.

- Malnutrition: as the change in climate becomes more rabid and vicious, there will be a drop the amount of crops and the nutritious value of some crops such as soy and barley due to the increase in carbon dioxide, according to National Geographic’s website.

- Geographical changes: heat and the shift in weather are causing severe geographical changes, such as droughts and floods. According to Conserve Energy Future’s website, millions of trees in Rockies of Colorado have begun disappearing.

- Deathrates: it has been predicted that the change in climate will cause around 250 thousand deaths per year, between the year 2030 and 2050. According to the World Health Organization's website, some of the diseases which will supposedly cause these deaths are heat stress, malaria and malnutrition.

- Mental health issues: such traumatic events are more likely to leave behind survivors who suffer from PTSD or post-traumatic stress disorders, anxiety, depression and suicidal tendencies, according to National Geographic’s website.
