Fashion Forward Dubai season 10 in numbers

CAIRO – 17 October 2017: Fashion Forward Dubai has grown it’s line up to 28 designers in total for its 10th season.

Five of these are international designers who will be making their first appearance in Dubai on the FFWD runway.

Many past designers will be returning to the FFWD runway such as Amato, Anaya,Arwa Al Banawi, Hussein Bazaza, Lara Khoury, Madiyah Al Sharqi, Masheal AlRajhi, Sadeem, Roni Helou, Royaled by RH, Varoin Marwah, and Zareena.

Arwa Al Banawi has recently launched a capsule collection in collaboration with Adidas, which has made waves all over the region.



The 10 newcomers to FFWD are Amine Bendriouich, Asya Krasnaya, Atelier Zuhra, Behnoode, Mohanad Kojak, Sara Altwaim, Uniti by BabakVosoughi, and Utruj.


Egypt’s very own and Project Runway Alum Mohanad Kojak will be showcasing his both haute couture and ready-to-wear collection, that combines staple pieces of both styles, like tracksuits mixed with dresses. Kojak will also be reintegrating his signature Romeo and Juliette goblin fabric, the apholestery fabric he introduced to the fashion scene when he first started his brand.

Kojak is known for his sense of taste and bold fashion. He has dressed many Egyptian celebrities, such as Nahed El-Sebai, Dorra, Hana Shiha and many more.


“I see Fashion Forward Dubai as the first step to get recognized regionally and
internationally,” Kojak said. “It puts you, so to say, on a different track where you get
to meet the movers and shakers of the fashion industry regionally and internationally.”

Also the MINI Fashion Beyond Native will present three designers Dress Addict, Wael and Zaid Farouki.


The main event will be when five international designers. Anna K, Eudon Choi, JoãoRolo, Nabil Nayal and Sid Neigum will be making their first appearance in Dubai on the FFWD runway, due to the high demand from designers around the globe looking to break into the Middle Eastern market.


The dates of FFWD 10th edition are set for October 26-28, 2017. It is set to be a three-day fashion extravaganza and will be located at none other than the other D3Dubai Design District, the capital of fashion design and creativity in the region.

FFWD

has been pushing the careers of emerging fashion designers both internationally and regionally, while positioning Dubai as the next fashion capital in the global fashion scene.
