CAIRO - 16 September 2017: The Australian court has awarded Rebel Wilson $3.6 million ($4.5 million in Australian) after finding out that a popular magazine was guilty of defamation.

According to CNN, Rebel Wilson was awarded the largest defamation damages amount in Australian legal history, as her lawyers stated.

Bauer Media, the publisher of Woman’s Day magazine, had claimed that Wilson lied about her age and her acting background so that she could make it in Hollywood.

Wilson announced on her Twitter account that she is going to donate her monetary award to Australian charities, and will use it to support the Oz film industry, as well. She added that she is looking forward to getting back to her career and entertaining everyone.
