Nubia Museum – Yadaweya

Nubia Museum – Yadaweya

CAIRO - 12 September 2017: The idea of building the museum came in an effort to save the Nubian culture, antiquities, and history.

Opened in 1997, the museum was designed by architect Mahmoud Al-Masry. It is a three story building imitating the real Nubia at its twin Aswan. It serves as a reserving space for antiquities also.

Drawings from an ancient cave are one of the biggest highlights of the museum. The museum also gathered pieces and pictures from different eras throughout history.

Old tools used by Nubians are reserved there too. You will never have enough of the wonders while walking around the art and history saved there.
