CAIRO – 18 August 2017: Lake Borolos is one of Egypt’s most gorgeous travel destinations; especially that it is one of Egypt’s rare natural protectorates. It has 28 islands separated by great distances inhabited by a number of families and fishermen.

Mahmoud Abdullah, professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, said that Lake Borolos is one of the most beautiful places in Egypt, and if the government paid more attention to it can turn into a unique travel destination.

He added that the lake and islands do not receive the due care they need from the government, stating that there are 28 islands and some of them contain ancient artifacts and they must be used to revive tourism in the area.

General Al-Said Nasr, governor of Kafr el-Sheikh, said that he is studying ideas to develop these islands into tourist attractions, especially the lake of ‘Singar,’ which is naturally gorgeous.
