CAIRO – 11 August 2017:A bag of chips that’s half full of air is probably annoying enough to rank right between hitting a chair with your toe and being stuck in traffic, but for a good cause.

Chips companies are not trying to be annoying when they fill the bag with air; according to businessinsider.com chips bags are not even full of air, they are full of Nitrogen.

As Nitrogen molecules do not react to any other molecules around them, Nitrogen is a really good preserver, unlike normal air which makes the chips go stale because of oxygen.

Without affecting taste or smell, Nitrogen preserves chips from expiring and keeps them in their fresh crispy state! Crunch on! … but not too much.
