CAIRO – 09 August 2017: Today is the day that the world gave us the one and only legendary Michael Kors. Thus, in true ET fashion, we will celebrate him through the quote of the day.

Michael Kors has said: “I grew up surrounded by these tough, ballsy, strong women. They were also adoring women, but they were the kind of women who would argue over what kind of pants you were wearing or the color of your nail polish.”

Michael Kors was born on August 9, 1959. His love for fashion began at a young age, and he enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1977 in the fashion capital that is New York City, but he dropped out after nine months, yet in 2012 he donated to the college $1 million to establish a lifetime endowment scholarship. In 1981, he launched his first female label at Bergdorf Goodman. He opened his own label in 1990 and became a hit ever since.

Fun fact: He also had acting classes when he was 14.
