CAIRO - 8 August 2017: “Studies are being made on Moses Spring. There are plans to transform it into a resort for medical tourism. The aim is to increase tourist attraction from all countries of the world,” Azza Wagih, the head of the board of directors of Moses spring stated on Friday.

She added that the province of South Sinai has many sources for therapeutic tourism; the most important is the Moses spring, which is of historical and religious importance. The spring is located on the western side of the Sinai. The Prophet Moses and his people passed by the spring fleeing from Pharaoh and his army.

“Moses Spring is known under the mountain of Moses. Warm water flows with the divine ability to heal many diseases including skin diseases, osteoporosis, and wounds. To relax and reorganize the body’s aging process, it contains a proportion of sulfur and other beneficial elements of the body and warm water most of the year and it is constantly renewable. There is cooperation between South Sinai and Hungary to turn Moses Spring into a world-class therapeutic resort. The bath was designed as a large pool topped by a huge water-fed dome from the bottom of the mountain,” Wagih added.
Wagih asserts that Moses Spring is home to more than 2,000 productive palm trees and some natural herbs that help to remove pain and aging diseases.

On the working mechanisms of the Moses pool, Wagih says that the Moses spring is cleaned daily and the external bathrooms are disinfected twice a week. She pointed out that the water filling the baths comes from the inside of the mountain. She pointed out that the area of the Moses springs will be placed on the list of medical tourism in the province.
