CAIRO - 28 July 2017: It was not until Dionne Görtzen visited Cairo for the second time, and had a second job interview, that she decided to work and live in Egypt.

The 31-year-old, who now teaches German at a school in Cairo, decided to not let her family’s concerns about living in Egypt stop her from making taking action to uproot her life. Instead she took the opportunity to share experiences of her life in Egypt.

Watch Görtzen talk about her family’s visit to the country, and how their perspectives on “foreigners” changed.

Please stay tuned for a series of interviews on her rich experience in the land of the Pharaohs.
