The Egyptian Generals in the The Fourth Annual International Conference on Neurosurgery

CAIRO – 27 July 2017: The fourth Annual International Conference on Neurosurgery was launched Thursday morning under the sponsorship of General Sedki Sobhi, commander in chief of the Armed Forces and minister of defense and military production.

The conference will be hosted by the Medical Complex of the Armed Forces in al-Galaa and will be held in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population, as well as Ain Shams and Al-Azhar universities, in the presence of a number of Arab and European research associations and centers. The conference will end July 28.

The program of the conference includes a number of scientific and research sessions and workshops. The conference focuses on cranial surgeries, the most recent methods of brain and neurological surgery for children and the treatment of congenital malformations and defect.

Other than that functional surgery for the treatment of epilepsy and involuntary movements, and the treatment of cases of arterial expansion using interventional radiology to open veins and arteries and treat brain bleeding using the latest surgical techniques.

In the opening session of the conference they played a documentary film about the efforts of the armed forces in supporting medical and therapeutic services in all specialties.

The discussions of the conference included the mechanisms of joint cooperation with the Department of Medical Services of the Armed Forces, to provide a fertile environment for training, transfer and exchange of experiences, and to see the latest developments of the bodies, universities and local and international research centers in this field.
