AAIB launches Mobile Banking Application to Keep Pace with its Customers’ Advanced Lifestyle

Cairo, 25th of September: AAIB has launched its Mobile Banking Application that adds various features to the banking market. This comes as part of AAIB’s comprehensive plan to provide new bundles of digital banking solutions and the latest banking services in a quick, swift, and efficient manner to meet all of its customers’ needs, in their advanced lifestyle. Since AAIB constantly prioritizes its customers, the bank is always keen to provide services that respond to their different needs, in the most convenient way.

The launch of the AAIB Mobile Banking Application with these new features is a significant step for the bank towards digital transformation, which includes the automation of many banking services. The application, which was fully developed internally by the bank's staff, has a wide array of advantages, and one of the most important ones is paying monthly bills to various billers, namely; mobile operators, utilities and charity payments. This is done by registering them only once on the application, and they’re automatically paid monthly without the user’s intervention, which saves time and effort. In addition to the possibility of blocking debit or credit cards temporarily or permanently, and sharing the account details through social media and messaging platforms. Moreover, the application allows full accessibility of your bank accounts, credit cards, deposits, as well as transferring between accounts; internally and externally, through simple steps. Also, this is done in a secure and comfortable way in a matter of seconds, by various e-payment methods issued by different parties.

Haytham El Maayergi, AMD, Group Chief Operating and Transformation Officer at AAIB, said: “The bank works in consonance with its strategy to provide its customers with the best and most up-to-date banking solutions in a quick and simple way, based on precise studies of customers’ requirements and accurate understanding of their daily needs. Also, AAIB Mobile Application is fully developed internally through our very own Digital Factory, which allows the bank's staff to develop it swiftly and efficiently to meet the needs of the customers and market, and offer them with banking services at anytime, anywhere.”

El Maayergi added: "The launch of the new application complements our promises to digitalize all banking procedures and services that will help expand the umbrella of digital transformation, supporting the efforts of financial inclusion. Additionally, it is part of our desire to put forward all modern technology, by further including all our products and services, so that they can easily be reached anytime, anywhere via smart phones, in order to save our customers’ time and effort."

Alaa El Qushairy, Head of Digital at AAIB, said: “With the advancement of digital solutions on a global level, and specifically in the Arab region, it has become necessary to develop digital solutions in general and financial solutions in particular to keep pace with the growing needs of customers. Consequently, the bank's comprehensive digital transformation project is one of the main pillars on which it bases its future plans to provide the best financial services.”

El Qushairy emphasized that the launch of the mobile application is one of the bank's biggest projects, which was implemented internally through the efforts of the Digital Factory. This is considered just the beginning of the launch of many digital channels that are currently being developed. Furthermore, the launch of this service comes within the scope of introducing a distinctive package of advanced banking services that give customers the ability to conduct financial and non-financial banking transactions in a safe and easy manner, without the need to visit any of the bank’s 93 branches. With this latest addition to our digital technology, the bank's customers will have easy, and secure access to a variety of mobile banking services.

It is worth mentioning that AAIB is taking positive and far-reaching steps in the field of digital transformation. The Online Banking service, which will be completely replaced by an advanced application during the last quarter of this year, has been developed to keep up with the latest applications present in this industry, and has also been developed with the internal competencies of the entire bank.
