Al-Sennari House holds free candlelight making workshop for youth on March 14

CAIRO – 9 March 2021: On March 14 at 4 p.m., The Al-Sennari House, affiliated to the BA Cultural Communication Sector, will organize a free workshop for youth entitled "The Art of Candlelight Making", on the occasion of celebrating Mother's Day.

The workshop will be presented by the artist Catherine Ramses, who has specialized in the manufacture of candles of all kinds since 2012. She has participated in many exhibitions, and her products have been well received.

The workshop focuses on the types of candles, their shapes and stages of making them, and attendees will learn about the tools used, how to melt wax and colors, prepare strings and molds, and create new and different techniques of making candles and decorating them.

The workshop aims to teach the participants a hobby and craft. Its capital is small  and is suitable for those who want to start a small project and practice their hobby of handicrafts, while preserving this traditional craft.
