CAIRO – 25 February 2021: On February 25, many important events that changed the world map took place.


 

Important world events:-
 

1950 - Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah formally takes power in Kuwait, and Kuwait still celebrates this day and considers it its national holiday.

 

1991 - The dissolution of the Warsaw Pact is announced.

 

1992 - More than 700 Azerbaijani civilians were killed in a massacre by Armenian forces in Karabakh province.

 

1994 - A massacre took place at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron. It was carried out by a Jewish settler of American origin, Baruch Goldstein. Goldstein shot worshipers while they were performing the dawn prayers on a Friday in the month of Ramadan. In the massacre, 29 worshipers were killed and 150 others were wounded before other worshipers attacked and killed him.
