CAIRO – 15 February 2021: The General Authority for Culture Palaces presented many cultural and artistic activities through the mobile theater of the Aswan Culture Palace, southern Upper Egypt, specifically in the village of Wadi Al-Arab.

 

 

Activities took place over three consecutive days to spread cultural awareness and achieve the principle of cultural justice in the most remote and needy villages.

 

 

The activities of the first day included a lecture, entitled "The Role of Civil Society Institutions in Social Development", and was delivered by Amira Youssef, director of projects at the Future Association.

 

 

Youssef stated that civil society organizations, institutions and associations are the government’s main partners in community development, and boosting the citizens’ cultural awareness and social level.

 

 

On the second day, Ahmed Suleiman, former general director of education, gave a lecture on "Consolidating the Values ​​of Citizenship and Behavior".

 

 

The activities continued on the third day, where director Mohamed Fouad gave a lecture titled "Theater and Puppets", indicating that the puppet theater is one of the most important dramatic means that can be used in directing theatrical performances targeting children.

 

 

The Ministry of Culture launched the "Mobile Theaters" project within the framework of the National Project for Cultural Justice, in six regions across the country.

 

 

A total of 9,630 individuals benefited from the project between January 31 and February 5.
