CAIRO – 4 February 2021: On February 3, the Giza Pyramids Area received President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Félix Tshisekedi and his accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of his visit to Egypt.

 

They were received by Director General of the region Ashraf Mohie El-Din,.

 

Mohie El-Din said that the guest president and his delegation expressed their happiness to visit one of the most important monuments in the world.

 

 The tour began with a visit to the pyramid of King Khufu, one of the wonders of the ancient world, the Great Sphinx and the panorama area.

 

Mohie El-Din indicated that the President of the Congo Republic expressed his astonishment at the ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians in building the pyramids, the size and number of stones that were used, their construction, and the magnitude and sculpture of the Great Sphinx.

 

The Congolese President and his accompanying delegation were keen to take memorial photos in the panorama area.
