CAIRO – 28 January 2021: The Cairo Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Ahmed el-Saidi, will perform a concert with the participation of soprano Dalia Farouk, on January 30 at 8 p.m. at Cairo Opera’s Grand Theater.

The program includes selections of the most important classics written by leading composers, including symphonic dances from the Western Quarter story by Leonard Bernstein, Symphony of Illuminations by Benjamin Britten and a symphony by Robert Schumann.

It is noteworthy that the Cairo Symphony Orchestra is the oldest orchestra in Egypt. It was founded in 1959 by the Austrian maestro Franz Letcharu.

Since this date, it has contributed to enriching the musical life in Egypt by hosting the most famous musicians in the world and encouraging Egyptian musicians, composers, performers and leaders to advertise themselves.
