French ambassador to Egypt awards Hend Sabry Order of Arts and Letters

CAIRO - 28 January 2021: (MENA) - French Ambassador to Cairo Stéphane Romatet awarded Wednesday Tunisian-born actress Hend Sabry the Order of Arts and Letters.

 

 

Posting on its social media website, the French embassy said the medal is the second to be granted to the Tunisian actress after being named the Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2014.

 

 

Held at the French embassy in Cairo HQ, the celebration was restricted to the families and friends of the winners due to the coronavirus-related precautionary measures.

 

 

At the same event, president of the Cairo Film Festival, screenwriter and producer Mohamed Hefzy was also named the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters.
