CAIRO – 26 January 2021: On January 25, Hager El-Adasat Culture Palace affiliated to the Luxor Culture Palace held a lecture entitled "The Role of Libraries in Cultural Awareness."

Writer Abul-Hassan Abdul-Mawjoud explained that the library is an integral part of human life, describing it as a source of information, knowledge and experiences. Abdul-Mawjoud explained that libraries are not only places to collect books and knowledge, but also places that enlighten the human mind and develop society.

“This is how libraries are around the world and at our Egyptian, Arab and Islamic lands. We must be proud because the first library in the world was established in Egypt, which is the ancient Library of Alexandria. Many other libraries were later established,” said Abdul-Mawjoud.
