Heliopolis Library presents a series of seminars to raise awareness about COVID-19

CAIRO – 6 January 2020: The Heliopolis Association, headed by Nabil Helmy, organizes a number of educational seminars for the prevention of COVID-19, organized by the association in all its cultural platforms, with the aim of educating members of society about the dangers of this pandemic, how to limit the spread of infection and the most important symptoms associated with infection with this disease, and the importance of conducting continuous checks for it.

 

Helmy said that the first of these seminars will be held on January 17 at the Heliopolis Children's Library entitled "Awareness and Dealing with COVID-19", which deals with explanations and clarifications of all information related to COVID-19, the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, how the virus develops, and what are the most important methods of transmission, protection from disease, means of personal protection and infection control, the importance of using a prepared face-mask, maintaining safe distances, foods that strengthen immunity and some symptoms that may accompany the infection, in addition to the best ways to deal with people infected with the Coronavirus, and how to protect children from contracting the disease, and whether an individual can be infected twice with the virus or not.

 

Helmy indicated that the symposium will also discuss the latest developments in the field of vaccination against the epidemic, the types of vaccines expected to be available, ways to improve immunity and treatment, with a focus on topics and common questions among the community during the current period.

 

The symposium is held in cooperation with the Heliopolis Medical Department and is presented by Dr. Rehab Makkawi.
