CAIRO – 31 December 2020: The Royal Chariots Museum opened on October 31, 2020, the same day the Kafr El-Sheikh and the Sharm El-Sheikh museums were opened.

This unique museum is one of the oldest and most important carriages museums in the world.

The Ceremonial Hall includes a group of carriages that were used by members of the Alawite family during various occasions.

The Horse Hall displays the clothes of the workers on the royal chariots and the accessories of the horses, in addition to a fountain that is still working until now.

The Royal Chariots museum is special, one of a kind and is definitely worth a visit!

2020 was certainly a year of achievements for the Egyptian Ministry of  Tourism and Antiquities.
