CAIRO – 31 December 2020: The Egyptian authorities revealed Wednesday, the results of the autopsy of the Syrian director Hatem Ali, who recently passed away in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

 

The Qasr al-Nil Partial Prosecution, according to a report published by the Al-Ahram Gate, ordered the transfer of the body of the Syrian director Hatem Ali, who died in a hotel room, to the embassy after the completion of the autopsy and the preparation of the forensic report based on the desire of the Syrian consul and the director’s family to indicate whether there is a criminal suspicion or not."

 

According to Al-Ahram, the preliminary investigations revealed that "the death occurred as a result of a heart attack, and there is no criminal suspicion of the death.”

 

The report added, "The prosecution went to the hotel to inspect where the body was found. There were no signs of violence in the place, and the corpse showed no signs of wounds or bruises. The prosecution demanded the footage of the surveillance cameras and summoned the hotel staff, especially those who found the body, for further investigation."
