CAIRO – 28 December 2020: On December 28, a number of artistic and cultural events will be held in a number of creative centers, including a lecture on the Byzantine era, an exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art, and a number of other events.

 

The Coptic Studies Center in the Academic Research Sector of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organizes the fourth lectures of the Coptic Cultural Season, entitled "A Brief Reading of the Byzantine Era in Egypt".

 

Head of the Greco-Roman Archeology Department at Cairo University Khaled Gharib will lecture by means of an online broadcast, at 2:00 p.m.

 

Moreover, the Museum of Islamic Art, in cooperation with the Baron Empain Palace in Heliopolis, is organizing two art exhibitions entitled "Treasures of Lead" at the Museum of Islamic Art, and an exhibition "From Bab el-Khalq to Heliopolis", at Baron Empain Palace, on December 28 and 29, until January 13, 2021, on the occasion of the 117th anniversary of the opening of the Museum of Islamic Art at Bab el-Khalq.

 

The Women's Cinema Club, which is held in the National Cinema Center, headed by scriptwriter Mohamed el-Basousi, continues its activities at El-Hanager Theater at the Egyptian Opera House at 6 p.m.
