CAIRO – 20 December 2020: Within the activities of Egypt’s Ministry of Culture to celebrate the World Arabic Language Day, the Cultural Production Affairs Sector, is holding a workshop and art exhibition entitled "My Arabic Language", on December 22 at 10 a.m. at the Library of Islamic Civilization in Cairo’s Citadel.

The workshop is part of the series of "Reviving Heritage" workshops launched by the Cultural Production Affairs Sector since 2019.

On the sidelines of the workshop, an art exhibition will be held, which includes a group of paintings and artwork with various designs for the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy, in addition to providing a variety of artistic and entertainment shows.

It is worth noting that it was decided to celebrate the Arabic language on December 18 of each year because it was the day on which the United Nations’ General Assembly issued Resolution No. 3190 in December 1973 to adopt the Arabic language among the official and working languages of the United Nations.
