CAIRO – 16 December 2020:  Haitham el-Hag Ali revealed the details of the first book fair in Aswan, which is being held in cooperation with Aswan University and within the directives of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem.

Accompanied by a number of Egyptian publishers, for the first time, the exhibition will be held free of charge for all publishing houses participating in the exhibition.

Ali confirmed that, based on the instructions of Inas Abdel-Dayem, participation in the exhibition was made available free of charge to publishing houses and participating institutions, in support of the publishing industry in Egypt and open new markets for publishers.

The book fair will launch on December 24 and run until December 31.

It is noteworthy that the General Egyptian Book Organization’s  last book fair was held at St. Mark's Cathedral, at El-Raml Station, which resumed until December 4.

Ali said that Abdel-Dayem had donated a set of the organization’s modern publications to the cathedral’s library to complete it.
