CAIRO – 15 December 2020: The National Center for Translation, headed by  Karma Sami, will celebrate the World Arabic Language Day in the presence of the Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, on December 19 at 5 p.m., in the Small Theater of the Egyptian Opera House.

The celebration will include the honoring of numerous translators, in addition to holding a cultural discussion.

The ceremony concludes with classical poems presented by the children's choir of the Talent Development Center at the Egyptian Opera House.

It is worth noting that it was decided to celebrate the Arabic language on December 18 of each year because it was the day on which the United Nations’ General Assembly issued Resolution No. 3190 in December 1973 to adopt the Arabic language among the official and working languages of the United Nations.
