CAIRO – 15 December 2020: The National Library and Archives’ General Authority, headed by Nevin Mohamed Moussa, celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The celebration, organized by the Khalifa Public Library, which is affiliated with Dar al-Kutub, began with the national anthem and the Holy Qur’an.

An artistic performance was presented, with honoring the examples of women who have triumphed over disability and have become successful role models in society.

Among these successful models are Fadia Abdel-Gawad, a consultant dermatologist and the first doctor with hearing difficulties in the world.

The ceremony concluded with an artistic performance for the Future Ensemble for Integrated Services for the Visually Impaired, from Ismailia Governorate.
