Yousry Nasrallah speaks about his love to Fellini,Maha el Sagheer narrates her love to cinema

CAIRO - 3 December 2020:The 42nd edition of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) kicked off amid strict precautionary measures, and in accordance to the requirements presented by the Egyptian ministry of health and the World Health Organization.

Egyptian TV presenter Maha el Sagheer presented the opening ceremony.


“I love cinema since I was a kid, there are scene for Soad Hosny, Yousra, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Yehia el Fakhrany and Adel Emam that are engraved in my mind” Sagheer added.

The Egyptian TV presenter said that her desire was always to work in anything related to cinema.

“ And now I am on the stage of CIFF presenting the 42nd edition” Maha said.

Maha el Sagheer added that CIFF will screen 84 films in this edition.

Maha el Sagheer later welcomed the jury members of the international competition on stage.

Acclaimed Egyptian director Yousry Nasrallah said that he watched a movie when he was 15 years for Fellini.

“Fellini created a cinematic world that we all want to be part of” Nasrallah said.

Nasrallah added that Fellini was never afraid to narrate all his fears from cinema.

CIFF then presenter a short movie honoring Fellini.
