Austrian Cultural Center in Cairo, Zawya Cinema to screen films of famous Austrian director Michael Haneke

CAIRO – 10 November 2020: The Austrian Cultural Center in Cairo, in cooperation with Zawya Cinema, is organizing screenings for films of the famous Austrian director Michael Haneke, who has twice won the Golden Palm Award and has succeeded in placing several distinctive cinematic fingerprints, starting on November 13 at 7 p.m. and resumes until November 30.

Some of his most prominent films will be screened in a cinematic trip that includes 7 films.

Michael Haneke was born in 1942. He is an Austrian director and screenwriter, known for his films often dealing with social issues. It depicts the feelings of alienation experienced by individuals in modern society.

He also worked in theater and television and teaches filmmaking at the Vienna Film Academy.
