CAIRO - 22 October 2020: The Talaat Harb Cultural Center affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund, will hold the cultural salon "Memory of the Nation" on October 24 at 6 p.m. in addition to a special evening commemorating the victory of the Folk Resistance Forces against the Israeli army forces that tried to storm Suez on October 24 - 25, 1973, hours before Implementation of the Security Council resolution to cease fire.

 

The salon is run by the writer and historian Mohamed el Shafei.

 

The guest of honor of the salon is the historian Sadat Gharib Mohammad Gharib, son of the leader of the Suez Resistance Martyrs, who wrote the book "The Story of the City of Suez", in which he describes the city’s struggle during the Yom Kippur War, and the heroic acts the city’s people did during the siege.
