CAIRO – 30 September 2020: In their last meeting chaired by Egypt’s Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled el-Anani, the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities decided to completely exempt all cafeterias and bazaars in museums and archaeological sites affiliated with the Council from paying the rental value until the end of October 2020.

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri confirmed that the decision comes within the framework of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' efforts to mitigate the negative economic effects resulting from the COVID-19 crisis.
