CAIRO – 23 September 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem celebrated a group of Egypt’s theatrical movement symbols. Families of the late pioneers gave the Ministry of Culture -represented in the cultural production sector- a group of their relatives' holdings to be included in the Museum of the National Center for Theater, Music and Folk Art at Al-Hanager Arts Center Theater.

 

“Soft power remains one of the bright aspects of the ancient Egyptian civilization, and its symbols remain signs that illuminate the path of successive generations,” said Abdel Dayem.

 

She added that the establishment of the Museum of the National Center for Theater, Music and Folk Art comes to consolidate the value of the nation’s loyalty towards the creative sons who exerted a lot of efforts to preserve the Egyptian leadership.

 

Abdel Dayem confirmed the continuation of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to preserve the Egyptian heritage, and immortalize artistic legends.

 

In addition, the head of the Cultural Production Sector and the head of the National Center for Theater, Music and Folk Art thanked the Minister of Culture for her support and for the initiative to collect belongings of art symbols in Egypt, stressing the importance of establishing museum pavilions in all theaters around the country to educate the public about Egypt’s artistic heritage.
