CAIRO – 8 September 2020: Talaat Harb Culture Center will hold a concert on September 11 at 8 p.m. for the Nubian artist Karam Murad.

 

The concert comes within a program of performances presented by the Cultural Development Fund sector, while adhering to all the precautionary measures set by the state to battle COVID-19.

 

The concert program includes a number of Nubian songs. 

 

Murad is best known for hisn Nubian singing, as he learned to play and sing at the hands of his uncle, the late international Nubian artist, Hamza Alaeddin. His artistic career began with concerts at the Opera House in 1997. 

 

He also participated in the October 2000 celebrations with the song "El Neel Beyetmasha" and sang in many theatrical productions and dramas.

 

Furthermore, Murad has performed in many international festivals and events, including the closing ceremony of Aswan International Sculpture Symposium and at the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome.

 

He recorded three duets with Italian singer Pino Daniele and American singer Maria Copa. He also participated in the singing album of the Nubian heritage in Germany entitled "Salamat Nubiana".
