Marionette puppet Show "Ali Baba & the Forty Thieves" launches on Sept. 9

CAIRO – 7 September 2020: The Artistic House for Folklore and Performing Arts headed by director Adel Abdo will launch the marionette puppet show "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" on Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. at Balloon Theater's Salah Jaheen Hall.

Directed by Hassan el-Sherif, “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” is produced by the Under 18 group headed by director Abdel Moneim Mohamed.

The show is performed by Imad Abdel Azim, Hisham Ibrahim, Mohammad Nofal, Basem Nour, Mohammad Fawzi Bakkar, Ahmed Saleh, Hamza Khater, Rasha Gamil, and the voice-over performance of Heba Muhammad, Wafa el-Sayed, Hamza Khater, Ahmed Shoman, Mohammad Gad, Nour el-Sharqawi, Emad Abdul Azim and Hassan Sharif.

The character of Ali Baba is played by artist Mohammed el-Sawy.
