Collectibles of 19 pioneers of Egyptian theater movement exhibited in Museum of National Theater Center

CAIRO – 7 September 2020:  Egypt's Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem stated that the Cultural Production Sector headed by Khaled Galal, through the National Center for Theater, Music and Folk Arts headed by Yasser Sadiq, succeeded in establishing a museum to exhibit rare collections of the private belongings of the pioneers of the Egyptian theater movement.

 

It is noteworthy that the Museum of the National Center for Theater, Music and Folk Art includes the holdings of more than 19 pioneers of the theatrical movement in Egypt, namely Tawfiq al-Daqn, Zuzu Nabil, Samiha Ayoub, Samira Abdel Aziz, Madiha Hamdi, Amal Ramzy, Samir el-Asfouri, Mahmoud el-Gendi, Mahmoud Azmy, Saeed Tarabeek, Omar el-Hariri, Mohammad Awad, Mazhar Abul-Naga, Munir Makram, Sayed Zayan, Mahmoud Masoud, in addition to the possessions of the pioneers of the national circus, Mahasin el-Helou and Mohammed al-Helou.

 

The center is currently completing the donation of the collections of late Farouk el-Fishawy, late Aida Kamel, Mahmoud el-Hedini, Rashwan Tawfiq and Hussein Riad.
