CAIRO - 1 September 2020: Egypt Today presents exclusive photos of Fabio Abraham portraying Nasser in CNN’s docu-drama “Jerusalem”.

 

Fabio Abraham is an Italian actor of Egyptian origins and will portray the role of former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser in a docu-drama produced by CNN and entitled "Jerusalem".

 

 

The new docu-drama will tackle the history of Jerusalem and the most important characters that affected it negatively or positively. 

 

 

 

Gamal Abdel Nasser was one of the most influential people in the history of Jerusalem, as he played a major role in fighting for it.

 

"Jerusalem" will highlight the role of influential politicians like late King Hussein bin Talal of Jordan and Former Defense Minister of Israel Moshe Dayan, among others.

 

Abraham participated in the official competition of Casablanca Film Festival in the feature films category with the two English films, “The Truth is” and “Mia Changed”.

 

Abraham aimed to compete for the Best Film and Best Actor awards. 

 

Abraham previously stated that he received an official invitation from the management of Casablanca International Film Festival for short films and documentaries to participate in the festival's events held from July 23 to 27, 2019.

 

He further noted that he was honored at the tenth edition of the Casablanca International Film Festival in 2015 for being a successful Arab representative abroad.

 

Also, the Egyptian-Italian actor explained that he completed filming four short films in London, pointing out that he received several offers from a number of iconic directors in London to participate in new films and TV series.

 

 

 

The latest film in which Abraham participated was “Aladdin”, where

 

he performed a voice over for all the Arab characters participating in the film.

 

It is noteworthy that Abraham immigrated in 2002.

 

The star faced numerous difficulties with cinema and television in England at the beginning of his acting career. However, in 2015, Abraham was labelled the “Actor of the year” by Joe BolExquisite magazine.
