CAIRO – 23 August 2020: The Cultural Production Affairs Sector, headed by director Khaled Galal, continues to present the fourth part of “Awdet el-Rouh” [Return of the Soul] program on August 23-25, at Al-Hanager Center for Arts at the Cairo Opera House.

 

With the participation of the Artistic House of Theater headed by director Ismail Mukhtar, the program presents the masterpiece of the poet Salah Jaheen, and the musician Sayed Mekawy, the operetta “El-Leila El-Kbera” [The Big Night], produced by the Cairo Puppet Theater Troupe headed by artist Mohamed Nour.

 

Following the operetta, the Artistic House Of Theater will present the theatrical show “Thel El-Hekayat” [The Shadow of the Tales] produced by the Al-Ghad Theater Troupe headed by Sameh Megahid.

 

The program starts at 7:30 p.m. and the ticket prices are L.E 20 and L.E 30.

 

Al-Hanager Arts Center was inaugurated on September 20, 1991 by Farouk Hosny, minister of culture at the time, and Hoda Wasfi, head of the center at the time.

 

The Hangar Arts Center consisted of a theater hall comprising of two connected halls with a wooden stage in the middle, the first theater of its kind in the Middle East. This is in addition to a plastic arts exhibition hall. The center carries out many cultural activities that serve all segments of society, especially youth.
