Egypt’s Mohamed el-Helw to perform in Cairo Opera's Fountain Theater on Aug. 21

CAIRO – 19 August 2020: Famed Egyptian singer Mohamed el-Helw will perform a concert with the orchestra led by maestro Selim Sahab at Cairo Opera House's Fountain Theater on August 21 at 8 p.m.

 

Helw is scheduled to present during the concert a distinguished selection of the famous songs he presented during his artistic career, including “El-Weseya”, “Azima Ya Masr”,  “Ya Habibi Kan Zaman”, “Zizinia”, “Ahim Shawqan”, “Betlomoni Laih?”, “Wehyatak Ya Habibi”, “Ya Habayib Masr”, among others.

 

The concert will be preceded by a constellation of Arabic songs performed by Sarah Sahab, and Ayat Farouk, accompanied by musicians Mahmoud Bedir (Cello), Nabil Bergas (Nay), Nader Anis - Mohamed Zahir (violin) and Ahmed al-Naggar (Keyboard).

 

The Opera theaters apply all precautionary measures to confront the spread of the novel coronavirus, in implementation of the decision of the Egyptian Council of Ministers and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.
