CAIRO – 12 August 2020: Under the title "From the Cairo Museum in Egypt to the Grand Egyptian Museum, A Journey of Tutankhamun's Treasures", the international news network CNN shed light on the treasures of Tutankhamun, after being transferred from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the Grand Egyptian Museum in a video depicting the restoration of the Golden Pharaoh's holdings.

 

The video also presented a number of live shots that highlight the museum’s workflow mechanisms, the restoration of the exhibited artifacts, and the latest developments in the museum in preparation for its opening in 2021.

This is in addition to pictures from the site of discovery of the tomb of the Golden Pharaoh Tutankhamun, as well as shots of the exhibition halls, the grand stairs, and the foyer where King Ramses II statue is placed to receive visitors. 

 

The video also presents interviews with a number of restoration operations officials and shows clips of some of the treasures of King Tutankhamun, which are currently housed in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir
