With notable group of stars, Cairo Opera House’s activities to kick start on July 9

CAIRO – 3 July 2020: Egypt’s minister of culture Inas Abdel Dayem approved on Friday the program of resuming the activities of Cairo Opera House.

Cairo Opera House new program houses 40 concerts that will take place at the newly-established open-air theaters.

Furthermore Cairo Opera House will start presenting its activities as of July 9, where the Grand Fountain Theater will be operated, followed by the Open Theater and the Sayed Darwish Theater in Alexandria Opera House on July 10.



Head of Cairo Opera House Magdy Saber announced that the reservation of the concerts is now available online through the hyperlink: https://ticketsmall.com/customer/events/list/.


A notable group of Egyptian and Arab musicians and singers will participate in Cairo Opera House new program such as megastar Mohamed Mounir, veteran Musician Omar Khayirat, along with acclaimed singers Ali el-Haggar and Medhat Saleh.

Saber explained that the concerts will be held with a capacity of 25 percent to ensure the safety of attendees and Opera staff, along with keeping social distancing and disinfecting the theaters.

Work will also begin in the theaters of the Artistic Theater House starting from July 15 in the Al-Hanager Theater.

The plan includes resuming activities at the Balloon Theater on July 10, Mohamed Abdel Wahab’s Theater in Alexandria on July 16, and National Circus on July 9. Meanwhile, the National theater, Talea Theater, Al-Ghad Theater, Youth Theater, Opera Malek, Floating Theater, Puppet Theater, Bairam el-Tunsi Theater, Metropol Theater and the Children’s National Theater will all reopen on July 17.

Classes of talent development centers will continue to receive students, as individual training will resume on July 10.
