CAIRO - 5 April 2020: ِEgypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Anani was keen to send a message to the Egyptian people and people from all around the world, calling them to stay home, to protect their health and the health and safety of their families and loved ones.

Furthermore, Anani called Egyptians and everyone around the world to adhere to the health, safety and preventative measures approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), hoping to overcome this ordeal quickly and eliminate the spread of COVID-19.

The Minister added that, while all the Egyptians are staying at home and following health and safety instructions, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities regularly cleans and sterilizes archaeological sites and museums in Egypt.

The ministry also monitors the procedures for sterilizing touristic establishments and hotels in preparation for receiving visitors and tourists as soon as this global crisis is over and the tourism movement returns back.

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Anani also wished the fast recovery, safety and health for the Egyptian people and the people of all nations worldwide.
