CAIRO - 20 January 2020: The General Authority of Cultural Palaces participates with 12 Arab shows during the 51st Cairo International Book Fair set to kick off on Jan. 22.

The Central Department of Artistic Affairs is setting up an art program for Arab bands. On January 23, the program will present the Luxor Folkloric Band show; on January 24, a performance by Fayoum Music Ensemble will be presented; on January 25, a performance by Kafr El-Sheikh Ensemble for Folk Art will be presented; on January 26, Mohamed Abdel Wahab Arab Music Ensemble will perform; and on January 27, Ismailia Folklore Band will give one of its distinguished shows.

Moreover, on January 28, the authority will present a show for the Beni Suef Folklore Band; on January 29, Al-Gharbia Folklore Band will give a musical performance; on January 30, the Mahalla Arab Music Ensemble will give a lyrical performance; on January 31, the Horiya Folkloric Band will participate with an artistic performance; on February 1, the Assiut Folkloric Art Ensemble will present an artistic show of the Upper Egyptian heritage; and on February 2, Aswan Folklore Band will perform a show about the southern heritage. On February 3, the Sharqia Folkloric Art Ensemble will also participate with a distinguished show.

It is worth noting that the 51st edition of the Cairo International Book Fair is held at Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the Fifth Settlement, and Senegal will be the guest of honor of this year's Book Fair. The late thinker Gamal Hemdan was chosen as the main personality of the exhibition.
