Ain Shams University honors Laila Elwi

CAIRO - 17 December 2019: Due to her special artistic career, Egyptian star Laila Elwi will be honored at Ain Shams University on Dec.17.

President of Ain Shams University Mahmoud el-Matiny will grant Elwi the honorary shield of the university in recognition of her artistic contributions.

The honoring will be followed by screening a film on Elwi's artistic career and a seminar at the university's Grand Conference Hall at 12 p.m. The seminar will be held under the supervision of the university's Vice President for Community Affairs Nazmi Abdel Hamid and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Community Service Affairs Jehan Ragab.

The star will also discuss with the university students the role of art in serving society, and will answer their questions.

The symposium will be managed by Amal Othman, in the presence of a number of stars and directors that Elwi has worked with.
