CAIRO - 21 October 2019: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and Egypt’s Ambassador to Serbia visited the National Museum in the Serbian capital Belgrade.

The museum’s director offered an explanation of the museum’s contents, collections and works of art dating back to the first ages to the modern era.

The Minister praised the museum's displays and its holdings, stressing on the importance of joint cooperation in the field of exhibitions and museums as an essential component of the two countries that contributes to the formation of collective awareness and the consolidation of identity.

Abdel Dayem further pointed to the need to activate the artistic activities through the museum’s theater, which hosted Egypt's celebrations of the July Revolution.

For her part, the museum’s director expressed pride in the visit, which is a start for cooperation in the field of museums between the two countries, affirming that Egypt is a country rich with culture, history and art.

The museum’s director further referred to the serious consideration of signing partnership agreements to exchange experiences with Egypt in this field, especially in the restoration and protection of holdings through specialized cultural entities in Egypt and Serbia.
