Min. of Culture attends “Ebdaa Helmak” theatrical workshop in Fayoum

CAIRO - 24 September 2019: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, Fayoum Governor and Chairman of the General Authority for Culture Palaces, followed the training of "Start Your Dream" workshop in Fayoum.

The “Ebdaa Helmak” (Start Your Dream) initiative aims to prepare and train talented people in different colors of theatrical arts at Fayoum Culture Palace.

They also witnessed the play “Toqoos al-esharat” and the great transformations of the palace’s theatrical group, whom received several awards and certificates of excellence from the 12th edition of the National Festival of the Egyptian Theater.

Abdel Dayem stated that the “Start Your Dream” workshop -since its launching in 2018- succeeded in attracting and discovering a huge number of talented individuals from different age groups in the various governorates of Egypt, confirming the abundance of creativity in Egypt.

The Minister of Culture added that the discovered promising talents have been prepared and qualified to enrich the field of theatrical arts as one of the significant tools of raising awareness and the development of society.

The “Start Your Dream” training workshop occurs in three stages:

1- The first stage explores the abilities and talents of trainees and measure their capability of working together as a team.

2- The second stage aims to use theoretical concepts and practical exercises to formulate short theatrical scenes based mostly on improvisation.

3- The third stage includes training for live performances, the so-called graduation presentations, and aims to test the trainees' abilities to apply the acquired artistic skills.
