National Council for Human Rights to honor winning Ramadan screenplays on Sept. 7

CAIRO - 3 September 2019: The National Council for Human Rights, headed by Mohamed Fayek, honors the dramas in support of human rights principles that were screened last Ramadan.

The celebration will be held on Saturday, September 2, in the small theater at the Egyptian Opera House.

The council formed a committee for this purpose headed by Gamal Fahmy, member of the Council and Secretary of the Committee on Cultural Rights, and the membership of the director Inam Mohamed Ali, critic Tarek el Shennawi, writer Karam al-Naggar, critic Maher Zuhdi, critic Rami Abdel Razek, and writer Khairiya al-Bashlawi.

The committee evaluated 28 dramas that were screened during the month of Ramadan, including 3 animation works. The committee selected the series that met the criteria set by both the council and committee.

Numerous artists, directors, writers and dramas makers will be participating in the honoring ceremony, in addition to public figures interested in drama making, Presidents of national media councils and directors of satellite channels, along with representatives of relevant ministries and entities supporting human rights and a number of representatives of dramatic production companies.
