All you need to know about 2019 Eid al Adha film season

CAIRO - 19 July 2019: The film season of Eid al-Adha 2019 initially sees the participation of a number of films for prominent Egyptian movie stars.

Comedy star Mohamed Heneidy continues to film the scenes of his recently announced movie, “King Size”. The film is written by Omar Taher and directed by Islam Khairi.

Furthermore, famed star Ahmed Helmy is filming "Khayal Maata" (Scarecrow), which revolves around the life of an interior designer named Raouf in a social comedy attire. Besides Helmy, the film stars Menna Shalabi, Khaled el Sawy, Bayoumi Fouad, Hassan Hosni, Lotfi Labib and Abdul Rahman Abuzahra. It is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal and directed by Khaled Marei.

In addition, prominent singer and actor Tamer Hosny is in a race with time to complete the filming of “Kol Sana Wenta Tayeb”. The film stars Zeina, Khaled el Sawy and Aisha ben Ahmed. It is written by Mohamed Abdel Moty and directed by Hadi el Bagouri.

“Welad Rizk P II” cast is in the process of filming the final scenes of the movie to reserve a place in the 2019 Eid al Adha film competition. The film stars Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed Dawood, Ahmed el Fishawi, Mohammed Mamdouh, and Karim Qasim. It is written by Salah al Jehini, and directed by Tarek el Erian.



Moreover, the cast of the much anticipated film "The Blue Elephant PII" has just finished filming its scenes. Its promo has recently been released for the upcoming Eid al Adha film season. “The Blue Elephant P II” is directed by Marwan Hamed, written by Ahmed Mourad, and is starring Karim Abdel Aziz, Nelly Karim, Hend Sabry and Eyad Nassar.




The participation of Mohamed Imam’s film “Les Baghdad” (Baghdad’s thief) in the upcoming Adha season has not yet been confirmed. The film stars Fathi Abdel Wahab, Yasmine Raes, Mohamed Abdel Rahman Touta, Salah Abdullah, Ahmed Rizk, Tamer Ibrahim and Ahmed Khaled Mousa.

The same is true for Ahmed Mekki, who is currently completing filming his new film “Akd Yo’kad” (Knotting a Knot). The film is written and directed by Mekki. The film's participation in Eid al Adha film season of 2019 has not yet been confirmed.
