Numerous theatrical shows to stage during Eid el-Fitr

CAIRO - 5 June 2019: The Theater Art House will present numerous theatrical performances on June 5, the second day of Eid al-Fitr. Among the theatrical plays set to be performed is “Yaeesh Ahl Baladi” (Long live my people).

The play will stage at 9 p.m. on the Floating Grand Theater in Manial. The play is starring Ahmed Salama, Intisar and Mohamed Radwan. It is written by Mohamed Baghdadi and directed by Assem Nagati.

In addition, the Comedy Theater Group presents the play "Hala men el Tawahan" (A state of confusion), starring Gamal Abdel Nasser, Ashraf Meselhi and Reda Idris. The play is written by Sayed Khater and Sayed Ibrahim. It is directed by Sayed Khater.

Director of the Cairo Puppet Theater Mohammed Nour clarified that the cast is currently conducting final rehearsals for the new play “Mahatet Masr” (Egypt Station). The play is the production of the cast.

“Mahatet Masr” is set to stage during the second day of Eid el-Fitr on the Puppet Theater in Attaba at 7 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. in two consecutive concerts, in light of the high demand to attend performances of the group, especially during Eid.

For his part, director of the play Rida Hassanein stated that the story of the play revolves around a girl who loses her way inside Egypt station and explores different people belonging of different social classes.

“Mahatet Masr” is written by Mohamed Zanati, directed by Rida Hassanein, music composed by Hatem Ezzat and the design of puppets and decoration by Samir Shahin.
